The Dawn of Asphalt
Stevie Williams launched the Asphalt brand in the summer of 2013. At age 11, Stevie started skating in his hometown of Philly. When he was just 12 years old, he was featured in the 1994 Element skate video Fine Artists Vol. 1 under the name "Lil' Stevie.” That was the beginning of a legacy that continues to this day.
He hitchhiked to Cali at the young age of 14 where he honed his chops on the streets. Due to his relentless perseverance and innovation, Stevie Williams quickly became one of the most exciting pros on the scene.
ventually, Stevie reached worldwide critical acclaim, and was even recognized by Transworld Skateboarding as one of the "30 Most Influential Skaters of All Time.” You may also recognize him from playing as his character in many of the Tony Hawk video games.
In addition to starting the Asphalt brand, Stevie Williams is the founder and co-owner of Dirty Ghetto Kids (DGK) skateboards, alongside world-famous pros Marcus McBride and Josh Kalis. He also started and owns the L&K Limited skate shop in Oceanside, California and the Sk8tique skate shop in Atlanta, Georgia.
